Superman is Clark Kent when he’s not on duty — and Animous Lynx is Pavlos Chadoulis. “Since 2015, I’ve been devoted to the art of handmade collage — a process that finds me lost among glue, inks, scraps of paper, and magazines, searching for unrelated images that somehow come together,” he tells us. His inspiration flows from nature, abstract portraits, female forms, and the colors that blend with urban culture. Through his work, he seeks to unite his own inner chaos with harmony, creating narratives that balance between the real and the imaginary.

Pavlo, how did your journey with collage begin? What’s your first memory of it?

“My first memory of analog collage dates back to when my camera broke. I went up to my studio to process it — it was a tough time for me back then. That’s when I realized I had countless magazines stored in boxes that I’d been collecting for years. I just started flipping through them, cutting, experimenting — and suddenly, a whole new world opened up before me, full of renewal.”

What are your favorite colors?

“Black and yellow.”

Favorite movie and director?

“My favorite director is Alejandro Jodorowsky. As for films, I’d say Amélie and The Holy Mountain.”

What kind of music accompanies you while you create?

“I usually listen to trip-hop, hip-hop, drum and bass, nu jazz, experimental, and definitely punk.”
