Rust 754 – Converter and Primer
DESCRIPTION
Rust 754 – Converter and Primer for rusted iron or steel surfaces. Not suitable for use on stainless steel or galvanized surfaces. It chemically converts iron oxides into a stable organometallic complex and forms a uniform, anti-corrosive film that acts as a substrate for subsequent painting. It ensures improved paint adhesion, extends the duration of metal protection and simplifies the surface preparation process, without requiring complete mechanical removal of rust.
APPLICATION
Remove loose and flaking rust, paint residues, dust and traces of grease or other oily substances. Shake the can well before use. Spray from a distance of 20–25 cm using crosswise movements. Apply a second coat after 30–40 minutes, if necessary. Keep the surface protected from water for 8–12 hours. The surface can be painted after at least 12 hours. Polymerization can be accelerated by using warm air, a heat lamp or a heat gun. Shelf life: 36 months (in unopened packaging).
